Whale Trader Turns $153K Investment into $6.44 Million from SPX6900
A savvy cryptocurrency trader has made a remarkable profit by investing in the meme coin SPX6900. The investor initially purchased 7.793 million $SPX tokens for $153,000 between July 31 and August 15, according to Spot On Chain.
With the recent surge in SPX's price, the trader has begun selling off their holdings. As of October 14, 2024, they have sold 793,092 $SPX tokens for a total value of $687,000 in exchange for 280.5 $ETH. The remaining 7.15 million $SPX tokens are still in the trader's possession, with an estimated value of $5.91 million.
SPX6900: A Parody Meme Coin That's Soaring
SPX6900 is an ERC-20 meme coin that parodies the S&P 500 stock index. It launched over a year ago and saw little movement before its recent exponential rise.
Since September 17, the price of SPX has skyrocketed by 3,000%, propelling it into the top 17 meme coins. Its market capitalization has jumped from $24 million to $773 million, making it one of the most valuable meme coins. This surge has occurred despite a relatively flat performance by the broader cryptocurrency market.
Murad Mahmudov's Impressive Gains
Controversial trader Murad Mahmudov has also made substantial profits from SPX. With over 275,000 followers on Twitter, Mahmudov invested $387,000 in SPX and turned it into $23 million within four months, marking a 61x increase.
Mahmudov believes that the crypto market is experiencing a "meme coin supercycle" and predicts that "2025 will be the year where meme coins go parabolic." However, some concerns have been raised about his promotional activities and potential conflicts of interest.

Investors seeking the next promising meme coins often look to presales. Two popular projects favored by analysts include:
