Known online as Shibetoshi Nakamoto, Markus shared a video of an elderly woman gambling at a casino, accompanied by a witty remark about millennials inheriting wealth from their parents. This post garnered varied reactions, but one response stood out:
An anonymous supporter sent Markus 420,690 NEIRO, valued at approximately $5,551. The accompanying message expressed gratitude for Markus' role in the creation and legacy of Dogecoin, suggesting that he deserved a portion of this new meme coin inspired by DOGE.
Markus' response was concise, yet expressive: a prayer hands emoji. His stance on NEIRO, once touted as a potential successor to DOGE, remains uncertain. However, Markus has consistently dismissed affiliations with any other meme cryptocurrencies, highlighting his unwavering support for Dogecoin, which he co-founded with Jackson Palmer in 2013.
