Dogecoin Foundation Advances Ecosystem Enhancements
The Dogecoin Foundation has unveiled progress updates on its trailmap, outlining the advancements made in improving the Dogecoin ecosystem.
Over the past year, the Foundation has made significant strides in key projects such as GigaWallet, LibDogecoin, and RadioDoge.
Trailmap Progress
In an image accompanying its announcement, the Foundation highlighted three progress milestones:
Step 1 (100% Complete):
- Enhanced accessibility and growth of the developer ecosystem through LibDogecoin, multi-language bindings, and support for FOSS projects and businesses accepting Dogecoin.
Step 2 (90% Complete):
- Reduced barriers for Dogecoin adoption in commerce and for the unbanked through Gigawallet Payment Gateway, Ecommerce plugins, and Radio Doge Dogebox OS.
Step 3 (10% Complete):
- Increased Dogecoin throughput to meet global currency scalability expectations with the "proof of Doge" protocol upgrade, aiming for enhanced block speed, size, and decentralization.
The Dogecoin trailmap, published in December 2021, comprises eight initiatives aimed at transforming the ecosystem and enhancing Dogecoin's usability as a currency. The Foundation remains committed to realizing this plan, believing it will contribute to the success of the Dogecoin community.
