Billy Markus, the co-creator of the meme-themed cryptocurrency Dogecoin alongside Jackson Palmer in 2013, is an active X platform user under the pseudonym "Shibetoshi Nakamoto." He frequently shares his thoughts on various topics, ranging from politics to memes and technology. Today, he published a tweet expressing his disappointment with the new version of the ChatGPT bot developed by OpenAI.
OpenAI Unveils ChatGPT-4o Upgrade
OpenAI recently announced the launch of a new version of the GPT-4o model that powers ChatGPT. The "o" in the name stands for "omni." This upgraded version allows users to seamlessly interact with audio, video, and text in real time.
According to a recent OpenAI article, GPT-4o represents "a step towards much more natural human-computer interaction." It allows users to input a combination of images, text, video, and audio, which the AI bot model can then manipulate to create new and unique combinations.
The new model also has the ability to engage with users vocally, responding as if it were a human. Additionally, multiple devices equipped with GPT-4o can now communicate with each other using built-in speakers.
Markus' Disappointment with ChatGPT-4o
The Dogecoin co-creator decided to test out the new iteration of ChatGPT. Markus shared his experiences with the new model, attempting to create humorous memes with its assistance.
Based on the images and comments provided by Markus, it is evident that he was unimpressed with the results. In his tweet, he stated that he initially asked GPT-4o to create a funny meme and then to make it "increasingly funnier."

Commenting on the images generated by the AI bot, Markus expressed his disappointment: "it's uh, yeah." He then instructed the program to "make it funnier," followed by "make it even funnier." He continued with "make it as funny as it can possibly be," "make it 10x funnier than it can possibly be," and finally, "make it the funniest thing anyone has ever seen forever."
