Grayscale Launches Sui Trust for Institutional Investors
Grayscale Investments has launched the Sui Trust, enabling qualified investors with secure access to the SUI token. This trust grants institutional-level entry, facilitating investor participation in the SUI ecosystem without direct crypto asset ownership.

According to a recent announcement, the Grayscale Sui Trust is now open to eligible accredited investors. The trust provides a streamlined path for investing in SUI, a blockchain prioritizing scalability and cost-efficient transactions.
As of December 18, 2024, the Grayscale Sui Trust manages $12.88 million in assets, with a net asset value per share of $65.52. Trust shares reflect SUI's price after fees and expenses, offering investors an alternative to directly acquiring and holding the token.
Ecosystem Growth Amidst Developer Activity
The SUI network has witnessed a decline in developer activity, with commit activity dropping from 5,300 in May 2023 to 950 in December. Active main developers have also decreased from 86 to 44. However, the Sui Trust ecosystem has a positive outlook, with stablecoin volume exceeding $377 million and decentralized exchanges experiencing strong trading volumes.

Grayscale Investments has expanded its portfolio by acquiring Litecoin (LTC) at recently depressed prices. As per CoinGlass data, Grayscale purchased 2,230 LTC on Thursday, elevating its 30-day accumulation to over 41,100. The company's total Litecoin assets now exceed $220 million.
