Backlash Against Hawk Tuah Girl Fuels Concerns
The decline follows ongoing criticism against Haliey Welch, also known as the "Hawk Tuah girl," after launching the HAWK cryptocurrency. Concerns have been raised about a potential pump-and-dump scheme.
After its launch, HAWK briefly soared to a market capitalization of $490 million before crashing 91%. Hawk creators refuted these allegations, stating that Haliey's team had not sold any tokens and that her 10% allocation was locked for a year and vested over three years.
Technical Analysis Shows Bearish Trend
The HTU price chart indicates a bearish trend, characterized by lower highs and lower lows. The price is consolidating within a falling wedge pattern, with two converging trendlines.
The price has dropped below the 25-day Simple Moving Average (SMA), reinforcing the bearish sentiment. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 37.83, indicating oversold conditions.
Breakout Above or Below Trendlines Key for Price Direction
If HTU breaks below the lower trendline, it could decline further, with potential support at $0.0022 or lower. Conversely, a breakout above the upper trendline with strong volume could signal a reversal and retest resistance levels at $0.0035 or higher.
Investors Consider Alternative Meme Coins
