Early Investor Turns Small Investment into Millions with PEPE Coin
An early investor in one of the top 30 meme coins by market value has garnered attention by transforming a modest investment into millions within a year.
PEPE Coin Transactions
Lookonchain, a blockchain analytics platform, revealed that an investor acquired Pepe (PEPE) tokens shortly after their market debut.
The trader sold 42 billion Pepe tokens on July 7, 2023, followed by 100 billion on May 4, and the remaining tokens on May 22, securing a staggering 735,831% profit.
Another investor purchased 182.9 billion PEPE (valued at $2.53 million) on April 15, 2023, for a mere 0.22 Ethereum ($462). They subsequently sold all their tokens for $3.4 million, yielding a remarkable 7,368x return.
Lookonchain also identified a trader who acquired trillions of PEPE between April 14 and April 23, 2023, and continues to hold them, achieving over 95,000,000% profit.
BlockTower Capital's Involvement
BlockTower Capital, a prominent crypto investment firm, realized a 20% profit by selling PEPE on the institutional trading platform Cumberland.
BlockTower Capital transferred 202 billion PEPE (valued at $2.8 million) to Cumberland for sale after the PEPE price surpassed $0.000014. They had initially purchased the same amount of PEPE through Cumberland six days prior for $2.22 million, generating a $578,000 return in that period.
PEPE Coin Market Performance
PEPE Coin has gained significant market attention due to its consecutive all-time highs. At the time of writing, PEPE is trading at $0.0000136, up over 1%. src="/uploads/20240524/1716494667664fa14bbfd16.png">
During this period, PEPE's market capitalization exceeded $5 billion. However, the 24-hour trading volume has declined by 18% to just over $3 billion, suggesting a potential loss of interest.
