Young Streamer Executes $30K Rug Pull with Meme Coin 'Gen Z Quant'
A young streamer created and executed a $30,000 rug pull with a meme coin named Gen Z Quant (QUANT). The token was launched during the streamer's live broadcast.
Shortly after the token's launch, the streamer sold 51 million QUANT tokens for 128 Solana (SOL), netting a profit of approximately $29.6K, according to a report by Lookonchain.
Missed Opportunity
Despite the rug pull, the meme coin experienced a surge in price due to interest from other investors. As of 8:21 a.m. EST, QUANT had risen by over 33% in the last 24 hours to trade at $0.04685.
Its market cap now exceeds $55.45 million, and approximately 20.84K investors hold the token.
Had the streamer retained his tokens, they would now be worth $2.389,350 based on the current price. If he had sold at the peak of $0.11929, he could have earned over $6 million.
Additional Rug Pulls and Personal Information
Following the QUANT rug pull, the streamer created and dumped two more tokens, LUCY and SORRY, for a total value of approximately $24K.
During the live stream, the creator of the meme coin defiantly displayed two middle fingers to viewers.
Since the rug pull, investors have uncovered the streamer's true identity and personal details, including his mother's Instagram account.
