The Movement Price Surges Higher
The Movement (MOVE) token has experienced an impressive rally, increasing by 19% over the past 24 hours. As of 9 p.m. EST, MOVE is trading at $1.25, marking a 148% surge in trading volume to $2.7 billion.
This price increase has propelled MOVE to the top of the gainers list among major cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, according to CoinGecko. Additionally, MOVE has seen a 76% gain over the past week.
Movement Breaks Resistance
The MOVE/USDT chart on a 1-hour timeframe provides insights into the asset's price action. The key support zone lies between $0.70 and $0.75, where strong buying has prevented significant downturns.
The price appears to follow a parabolic curve, indicating a bullish momentum acceleration. The price is currently testing a resistance zone around $1.18 to $1.20, leading to temporary rejections and consolidation. If this resistance is broken, the price could rally toward a reward zone between $1.35 and $1.40, potentially presenting a profit-taking opportunity for traders.
The 50-period moving average (SMA) near $0.98 provides immediate dynamic support, while the 200-period MA at $0.84 offers stronger support, reinforcing the uptrend.
Technical Indicators
The MACD exhibits mild bullish momentum, but the declining histogram suggests a possible pullback or consolidation in the short term. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 64.19 indicates the market is approaching overbought territory but still has room for further upside movement.
Bullish sentiment prevails as long as the price remains above the $1.10 support level. A breakout above $1.20 could lead to a rally toward $1.35 to $1.40. However, failure to hold above $1.10 may trigger a retest of the $0.98 support, potentially leading to a drop to $0.84 in a bearish scenario.
