Phoenix Group Plans Nasdaq Dual Listing in 2025 for Global Expansion
Abu Dhabi-based Phoenix Group, the region's leading blockchain and cryptocurrency company, has announced its intention to pursue a dual listing on the Nasdaq in 2025. This strategic move is designed to expand Phoenix Group's global market reach and reinforce its position as an international leader in the cryptocurrency industry.
Established in 2017, Phoenix Group made history in October 2023 by becoming the first private cryptocurrency and blockchain entity to list on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX). This milestone acknowledged the UAE's burgeoning role as a hub for digital economy advancement and cryptocurrency businesses.
As the largest cryptocurrency mining operator in the Middle East and North Africa, Phoenix Group has evolved into a technology conglomerate worth billions of dollars. The company operates 765 megawatts of mining facilities in the United States, Canada, and the UAE, making it a key player in the global cryptocurrency mining landscape.
Beyond mining, Phoenix Group holds the exclusive distribution rights for MicroBT's Bitcoin mining devices in several key markets, including the GCC, Egypt, Turkey, and Kenya. The company also invests heavily in Bitcoin mining equipment, fueling its operations and capitalizing on the rising demand for mining devices worldwide.
Munaf Ali, Phoenix Group's co-founder and newly appointed CEO, highlighted the convergence of traditional and digital assets. He emphasized that the dual listing on Nasdaq would provide access to global capital markets and amplify Phoenix Group's international presence. Former CEO Seyed Mohammad Alizadehfard will continue to offer strategic guidance as an advisor, leveraging his extensive cryptocurrency expertise.
