Kronos Accepts SHIB as Payment Option for Air Purifiers
US-based public company Kronos Advanced Technologies (KNOS) has announced its acceptance of Shiba Inu (SHIB) as a payment method for its air purification products. This news was disclosed in the company's June filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Kronos cited the "widespread ownership and popularity of SHIB among cryptocurrency enthusiasts" as the reason for its decision. The company also stated its commitment to embracing new technologies and catering to the growing demand for alternative payment options.
Previous Acceptance of Dogecoin
In February 2021, KNOS announced its acceptance of Dogecoin (DOGE) as a payment token. This move demonstrated the company's willingness to adopt memecoins and expand its payment options.
SHIB's Market Performance
Despite the acceptance by Kronos, SHIB has experienced a decline in value in recent weeks. Over the past month, SHIB has dropped by 31.53%. The coin's price at the time of writing is $0.00001718.
Shibburn Transactions
On-chain data from Shibburn reveals that over 918 million SHIB tokens were burned across 237 transactions in the previous month. This burning activity aims to reduce the supply of SHIB and potentially increase its value in the long term.
Trading Volume and Technical Indicators
SHIB's 24-hour trading volume has decreased by 3.54% to $175 million. The RSI indicator is currently around 34.07, indicating that the coin is nearly oversold and may be due for a potential upward trend.
