Meme coins are gaining popularity as the US Presidential Election approaches, and Slop (SLOP) is the latest entry to the market. This AI-driven meme coin has astounded the crypto world, surging 56,000% within 24 hours of its October 21 release.

Fabian Stelzer, founder of the AI platform Glif, created SLOP using the AI agent Namshub. Glif is funded by the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.

Stelzer developed the Namshub AI agent to test the effectiveness of the Glif platform in generating creative art and memes. However, during development, Stelzer discovered Truth Terminal's AI agent, which had made a substantial profit by investing in the GOAT meme coin. Truth Terminal also benefited from a generous grant from Marc Andreessen, co-founder of Netscape and Andreessen Horowitz.

Inspired by these developments, Namshub created unique content featuring Pepe images with a singularity theme. Stelzer revealed on social media that Namshub generated Slop. Despite advising against purchasing the meme coin, crypto enthusiasts seized the opportunity to invest, resulting in a 56,000% gain within 24 hours of its release.

Stelzer later clarified that there is no official roadmap for SLOP and that he owned a limited amount of the token.
